The Disaster Simulation Suite is going to be used to assess exercises in Lyon Hospital and Vercelli Hospital in the the framework of the 18-month EU funded project called "Integrated strategy for CBRN Threat Identification and Emergency Response (TIER)".

The project aims to develop a comprehensive and integrated strategy, based on threat identification and risk assessment, for hospital emergency response in case of use of Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear materials, as well as Explosives, by terrorists. One of the main project's objective is to train personnel with regard to emergency situations related to malicious use of CBRN materials and to conduct exersices to assess hospital response to ultimately save lives.
